Judd Gregg once said “The veterans of our military services have put their lives on the line to protect the
freedoms that we enjoy. They have dedicated their lives to their country and deserve to be recognized for
their commitment” and here in Mount Holly we couldn’t agree more. May is Military Appreciation
month and we would like to pay tribute to our Veterans past and present. Mount Holly has always
answered the country call to serve from the Battle of Iron Works Hill to present day.
Town Council would like to acknowledge these sacrifices and thank our veterans for their service..
Mount Holly will be placing Pole Banners in our downtown area each November around Veterans Day to
honor our hometown heroes. All Veterans who have served our country from Mount Holly are eligible to
have a banner placed downtown. If you know of someone who has served our country at any time in the
past from the Revolutionary War to today and wish to honor them then please consider sponsoring a
banner today.
The cost of a sponsorship is $100 and will include a banner that will be placed downtown every November,
along with a keepsake framed certificate showcasing their service. In addition, your donation will help us to
start an annual Veterans Luncheon to be held each year to honor our local veterans. Click here to find the application form. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Jim Logue at jlogue@twp.mountholly.nj.us . Thank you to everyone who has served our country faithfully over the years and please join us as we remember our heroes.
Sincerely,
Mayor Chris Banks
