Police Records/Reports

Instructions for Obtaining a Police Report

All motor vehicle accident reports are now available online via LexisNexis.   You can now access and print your report from anywhere you have internet access and a printer.  To gain access to your report, you will be asked a few questions regarding your incident.  Once verified, you will be able to print the report.

You may still come in to police records to obtain a copy of a police report but when you do, you will need to provide the case number. If you do not have the case number, we will need your name, address, date and approximate time of the incident.

Simply calling and asking for a report without the necessary information will require additional time to locate any one report. To expedite your requests please have the necessary information ready when you are asked by the records clerk.

Question:  Can I call the Police Department's records room and request a police report?

Answer:  Yes. Simply call the records room at (609) 845-1190, state your name, address, date and time of the incident and a case number if possible.

Question:  Are there any particular hours I have to call to obtain a police report?

Answer:  Yes. Please call between the hours of 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Monday and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Tuesday through Thursday. Township offices are closed for business on Friday's, but assistance with police matters and public safety concerns is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
