The Mount Holly Township has taking a number of initiatives to protect both wildlife and domestic animals in the township.

These initiatives include the following :

• A pledge to support NJ Wildlife Action Plan
• A Companion Animal Pledge
• An ordinance banning puppy mills within the township
• An ordinance on a trap neuter and release program for feral cats
